Why are ADAS systems important?

ADAS systems are integrated throughout all the electronics in the vehicle in an attempt to keep the occupants safe. They may reduce engine power, steer the car into a lane, apply strong braking action or activate warning lights and chimes. With the ability to control all of these electronics, ADAS systems should always be ensured to operate correctly.

The driver’s of vehicles with ADAS systems come to rely on the consistent operation of these components. Each ADAS feature is unique in the way that it operates. A driver’s familiarity with the system is what leads to the trust to allow it to operate correctly when needed. Identify
The most important part of calibrations is understanding what needs to be calibrated and when it needs to be done. Most calibrations are needed not because of damage or replacement, but because of the processes completed to ensure quality repairs. By comparing your estimate to OE service information, the CSE team can help you understand and identify when calibrations need to be done. We will always provide the documentation to support our recommendations, giving you the confidence to take our recommendations to your customers.

Execute
Once you successfully identify which calibration is needed, it is important that it is done correctly. CSE is committed to ensuring each ADAS system is calibrated properly by using proper tools and following OE procedures. The only reliable way to ensure our customer’s safety is to make sure the ADAS systems operate just as they always have.

Document
While the most important aspect of the calibration is to identify and execute the procedure successfully, it is also very important that those steps be documented accordingly. Each step in the process must be shown and justified. At CSE, we take this responsibility seriously.
